A retired detective's quiet life is violently upended when he finds himself in the crosshairs of a jailed drug kingpin who uses a ruthless crew of Russians and cutting-edge AI to wage a campaign of revenge, forcing the former cop to retaliate to save everything he holds dear, including the woman he loves.

 

Former detective Luis Tanner and his partner, Chrissy, have unexpectedly become the targets of a series of highly coordinated and vindictive attacks on their reputations. At first, the attacks seem mundane. But they don’t stop there. The level of the attacks grows rapidly when he is set up for engaging in completely out-of-character—including criminal—behavior. As a result of the attacker’s narcissistic nature, Luis and Chrissy discover that it is the cocaine and sex trafficker that they helped to imprison six years earlier. He is now out for revenge and controlling all of the attacks from his prison cell. With the help of an FBI colleague, Luis investigates the plots being perpetrated against him and uncovers a group of Russian expatriates who will stop at nothing to help the inmate secure his revenge by using theft, homicide, drugs, and even artificial intelligence. But when the woman he loves even begins to question his seemingly unexplainable behaviors, Luis realizes that he must turn the tables on the attackers and use their own tactics against them.
