Hi, I'm Craig.
Welcome to my website.
I help professional educators understand and embrace the research process. My focus lies in empowering them to engage in practitioner inquiry so they can realize the professional potential that lies within each of them.
I am currently an Associate Professor of Action Research and Quantitative Methods. The 2024-2025 academic year marks my 29th year as a professor and my 39th year in education. I have also spent 12 of those years as an administrator. I teach courses focused on the application of action research to promote educator empowerment, school improvement, and job-embedded professional development, and also teach research methods, statistical analyses, and educational assessment methods. I have served as the research methodology expert on more than 120 doctoral dissertations and Masters theses.
I have authored more than 110 books, invited book chapters, refereed journal articles, and research conference papers. I have also delivered more than 25 keynote or other invited addresses. I have consulted with numerous schools, districts, and universities on classroom-based action research and on the broad topic of classroom assessment. I am also the author of 3 crime suspense (fiction) novels.
I have numerous service activities to my credit, including having served as Program Chair and President of the Mid-Western Educational Research Association (MWERA) and as the Chair of the Action Research Special Interest Group (SIG) of the American Educational Research Association (AERA). I serve on the Senior Editorial Board of Practical Assessment, Research, and Evaluation and have served as a manuscript reviewer for more than 20 other journals.
I reside in Miami, Florida on the beautiful South Florida shores of the Atlantic Ocean.
Thanks for visiting,
